April 15th
The annual CROP Walk is set for 4 p.m., Wednesday, April 15, beginning in the Sherman Center. Students and Mitchell residents will gather to walk for Church World Service (www.cwsglobal.org) and the Mitchell Area Food Pantry (25 percent of funds raised by walkers).

April 18th
Wine Tasting Fundraiser at Mitchell ACT
Location: Pepsi-cola Theatre
Time: 5-8PM
Tickets: $25 in advance and $30 at the door
Description: Enjoy a UNIQUE and MEMORABLE wine tasting experience DIFFERENT from all OTHERS! Mitchell Community theatre is holding an Old World VS New World Wine tasting. Learn the perfect technique to truly taste and enjoy the wine. Be taught the differences of regions. Rate all the wines, then pick your favorite at the end of the night to enjoy at home! Have the chance to taste wines not found anywhere in the area!

Cabela’s Bow Hunter Education Class from 10am – 5pm. This class will provide safety information about hunting with archery equipment, and you will then be certified to archery hunt in any state after attending this national bow hunting safety class. Cabela’s Ladies Day Out from 11am – 2pm. Free gift for the first 100 ladies, shopping discounts, prizes, food and beverage!

The Ron and Sheilah Gates Department of Music at Dakota Wesleyan University announces the spring LyricWood Concert for 7 p.m. in the Sherman Center. This concert is free and open to the public.

April 19th
Linda Feterl School of Dance, 2015 Annual Recital "Shake It Up!” at the Corn Palace from 5 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. $6.00 reserved seating - tickets available through the Corn Palace Box Office

Dakota Wesleyan Spring Choral Concert at 4 p.m. at Mitchell First United Methodist Church. This concert is free and open to all.

April 20th
The Mitchell Area Concert Series presents the Alliance Brass Quintet at 7:30 PM at the Corn Palace. This group has been dazzling audiences with a repertoire ranging from early Renaissance to jazz and beyond. The Alliance Brass Quintet is poised to become one of the world’s finest brass ensembles. Hailing from Chicago this fine young group is comprised of some of the US finest talents. For more info or tickets, please call Jim at 996-5081.

April 26th
Dakota Wesleyan University’s Spring Ring will be at 7 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Mitchell. It is free and open to the public. Groups joining the Wesleyan Bells will be: the First United Methodist Church Circuit Ringers; the Youth Bells and the United Ringers from the United Church of Canistota; Madison United Methodist Church Handbell Choir; The Glorious Company from St. Martin’s Lutheran Church in Alexandria; and the First Lutheran Church Handebell choir. The program consists of “For the Beauty of the Earth,” “When I Survey the Wondrous Cross,” “Ring, Little Bells,” “Leaning on the Everlasting Arms,” and “Stairway to Heaven,” among many more.
